Overview
Leap Conventions provides the ability to communicate with your customers and curated audiences through an integrated email tool. The scope of this marketing tool is not to replace MailChimp or any other mailing service that you might use, but to provide easy access to automatically created lists of your customers, exhibitors, volunteers, or other recipients.
Accessing Email Blasts
In the navigation bar, hover over Marketing, and select Email Blasts
Here you can manage previously created Email Blasts, or create a new one.
Creating Email Blasts
To get started with the creation of a new Email Blast, select the blue Create Email Blast button in the top right of the index page.

Add an Email Subject and then select the green Create Email Blast button.

There are a variety of options to configure for your Email Blast. The options are as follows:

Ready: This option is essentially your big red button that when pressed will queue the Email Blast to send. Make sure that you are ready to send the Email Blast before you toggle this option to "Yes". You can save and keep an Email Blast to come back to and edit/change at will as long as it is not marked as Ready.
Scheduled: You can schedule the exact day and time you'd like your email blast to be sent. Once you've selected your desired date and time and everything looks good, just make sure to toggle Ready to Yes. This ensures your email goes out exactly when it's scheduled.


- Products will allow you to select one or more Products and send emails to all customers who have purchased those specific products.
- Lotteries are an advanced feature within Leap Conventions that allow you to collect email addresses from current or potential customers. Lotteries can also be imported from a CSV to create your own custom email list.
- Exhibitors will allow you to send a mass email to all of your Exhibitors that have paid for their Exhibit Space Type in full.
- There are three Volunteer lists, each communicating with a different filter, or segment, of your Volunteer group.
- Share Rewards is another advanced Leap Conventions feature that allows your attendees to evangelize for your event, ostensibly helping to increase sales and interaction, to be rewarded with "points" that can be redeemed for other various Products on the Share Rewards Purchase page. This email list will send an email to all of your customers who have engaged with that system.
- Non-Returning Customers fires an email off to your customers from a previous event, that have not made purchases for the current event.
The next option will dynamically adjust based on the previous selection.
If you have selected Products as your List Type, the box will display all of your Products. You can choose a specific Product and communicate only with the group of customers who purchased that Product.
You can use CTRL + Click to select multiple Products to expand your audience, or even select the final option in the list to send an Email Blast to all customers for All Products.
If you previously selected Lotteries from the List Type, a dropdown box of all the Lotteries present in your event will appear. Select one to send the Email Blast to that audience.
- Email Subject: This will be the subject line for the Email Blast and you can see that it carries the Email Subject you placed when creating the Email Blast. This can be changed here.
- From Name: This option will allow you to change the name from whom the email is sent. It defaults to the Event Name if left blank.
- From Address: This option will allow you to change the email address from whom the email is sent. It defaults to noreply@growtix.com if left blank. In addition this option, when changed, does have the potential to increase the chance this Email Blast ends up in the recipients' Spam Folder.
- Sample Email: This simply allows you to send this Email Blast to the specific address first using an action on the main Email Blast Index page.
- Hide Template: If you would like to handle the entirety of the HTML for the Email Blast instead of using the default HTML and template we provide, do so by marking this option as Yes. The default is No which wraps the email with Leap Conventions letterhead and footer.
- Unique Emails: When this is marked as "Yes", only one email is sent per email address. This is useful in case a customer has made multiple purchases and you want to prevent them from receiving an email for each purchase.
- Filter Checked In: "Checked In" is a Product status in Leap Conventions. Meaning that a customer's order has been checked in and the customer has been given the item they purchased. This option filters those out of the Email Blast, useful in case you want to communicate with those customers who have yet to redeem their Product or attend the event.
- Email Content: This is finally where you will present the content of your email to send to your selected audience. This is a Rich Text Editor, that supports HTML and offers a Code View to customize that HTML.
At the bottom of the screen is a green Update Email Blast button. This is what you click to save all your changes. Remember, if the Ready toggle is set to "Yes" and "Update Email Blast" is clicked, it will queue your email for sending.

You can monitor the status of your Email Blast and whether it has finished sending from the Email Blast Index page. Additionally, you have a number of other management options for creating Email Blasts on the Index page. You can:
- Preview the Email Blast
- Send a copy of it to the Sample Email provided earlier Copy
- Edit
- Delete the Email Blast
