Working with Schedule Submissions
Attendees can submit ideas to event organizers and these submissions can be accepted/rejected. Leap Conventions streamlines the process for organizers, as any approved submissions are automatically added as a schedule item without any other manual intervention (ex: uploading a Google Sheet back into Leap Conventions).
- Select Submissions from the Schedule Items index page
- The table displays the submission details
The submissions can be Approved or Denied using the Action button on the table.
Schedule Submission Settings
Submission Page
From the navigation menu, select Schedule Manager > Schedule Submission > Submission Page to open the public URL for your submission page.
Submission Questions
From the navigation menu, select Schedule Manager > Schedule Submission > Submission Questions to configure the custom questions which will appear on your submission form.
- Select Add Schedule Question
- Select the Question Type
- Text (1 Line) - A single line question
- Text Field (multiple lines) - Use this to enter a longer question
- Yes or No - Creates a yes or no question
- Multiple Choice - Use to create a question with multiple options
- Select the Question Text - Enter the question itself
- Hint Text - Any text here will be displayed as a helper or hint text on the schedule submission page
To configure the multiple choice options of your question, navigate back to the Schedule Questions overview page, and select Options from the table. You can continue to add options to your question:

Guest Interest Page
Launches the live guest/schedule interest page in your browser.
Schedule Submission Settings
- Schedule Submissions - Enable or disable the schedule submissions page
- Form Builder Form - Select from a list of your form builder forms to display on the schedule submissions page
This will attach a form builder form to the submission process and will replace schedule submission questions. By default we collect first name, last name, email address, title, description, categories and tags for each schedule submission. They do not need to be present on the custom Form Builder form.
- Force Leap Conventions Login for Submissions - This setting ensures that only logged in users can submit schedule / panel submissions
- Only Guests can Submit - Only users with email addresses that match a guest in the guests database can submit a schedule item
- Use Auto Attach Panelists Function - This turns on a function during the submission process that will automatically create guest records and attach them to the submission. Uses the email address as a unique identifier.
- Show Categories - Enabling this setting will display categories as checkboxes on the submission page
- Show Tags - Enabling this setting will display tags as checkboxes on the submission page
- Show Room Needs - Show checkboxes for room needs on the submission page
- Schedule Submission Page Title - Enter custom text for the submission page title. If nothing is entered, it will be displayed as 'Schedule Submission Form'.
- About Schedule Submission - The main text area to enter all the information related to this schedule submission
- Schedule Interest Page Active - Enables the schedule interest page
- Schedule Interest Amount - Enter a limit of how many panels/schedule items they can be interested in. The default is 10.
