Share Rewards

 

Share Rewards is a customer opt-in program that allows customers to get their unique URL to promote the event and earn points based on the number of sales made through that URL. However, this unique URL is not customizable, so users cannot create their own. The Share Rewards feature provides the following benefits to Event Organizers:

  • Sell More Tickets - Get in front of a larger audience by incentivizing your customers to promote your event to their friends, family, and social media followers by offering exclusive prizes and experiences.
  • Maximize Marketing Budgets - Utilize your customers’ existing relationships without spending a dime so you can increase brand awareness, gain more fans, and sell out your convention.
  • Drive Brand Loyalty - Discover your most engaged fans and reward them year after year with special content, additional discounts, and VIP opportunities.

Configuring Share Rewards 

Please contact support if you are interested in utilizing Share Rewards for your Conventions event.

Share Rewards Dashboard

Once enabled, you'll see an option populate under the Marketing tab to navigate to Share Rewards. Here you'll find the dashboard.

Administrators have access to a dashboard to view all associated information related to the Share Rewards program for their show.

  • Share Rewards Settings - By selecting 'Setup Share Rewards', Event Producers can access various configuration options related to their overall Share Rewards program.
  • Welcome Email - By default, we enable the Welcome Email to send to all new Share Rewards members. You can configure and customize this further by selecting 'Configure'.
  • Email Blasts - This area acts as a bridge between the existing Email Blasts tool and the Share Rewards dashboard. From here, you can send communication to both Share Rewards members and non-members.
    • This can also be accessed under Marketing > Email Blasts.
  • Share Rewards Members - This table houses all individual member information related to their Share Rewards activity.
    • Member Share Link - This will automatically copy that member's unique link to the user's clipboard
    • The following is an example of an individual member profile view of their specific activity.
  • Point Amount - This tool allows you to also award points to individual users.
  • Share Rewards Sign Up link - This will provide a sign-up link for that event's Share Rewards program. From here, the member will be prompted to log in to their Leap account or sign up for one
  • Export - This exports all member information that is available in the table

Share Rewards Settings

Additionally, Administrators have access to the Share Rewards settings to further customize and enhance their program.

 

  • Share Rewards Program On - Enable or disable the share rewards program entirely
  • Share Rewards Store Live - Enable or disable the rewards store live on
  • Points Earned Per Dollar - The number of points a Share Rewards member will receive per dollar spent by a referral.
  • Limit 1 item per account - Enabling this setting will limit the point purchase to one item per account
  • Share Rewards Program Details - A free text WYSIWYG field to add any custom details that explain how the event Share Rewards program works. These details appear on customer-facing pages.
  • Require Purchase? - If enabled, this would restrict sign-ups to attendees who have a valid order for that specific show. If disabled, this would allow anyone, regardless of purchase status, to sign up and receive a shareable link to begin acquiring points.
    • By default, this is enabled, meaning we will assume that event organizers would like to require the Share Rewards member to possess a valid purchase at that event to sign up.

Points Incentives

  • Incentives act as an override to the existing Points Earned Per Dollar
  • This means that your Share Rewards members have a chance to earn even more points towards items in the Share Rewards store

💡 Tip

You can leverage incentives to further encourage engagement with the Share Rewards by offering limited-time point increases.

 
  1. Give your incentive a name
  2. Set how many points you like to be awarded per dollar spent on a successfully converted order
  3. Select the Date Range you'd like the incentive to be active during
  4. Configure days allows you to specify if you want the incentive to only be applicable on specific days of the week during the above date range

Note

Only 1 incentive can be honored at a time in a specified date range.

 

Attendee Experience

When the customer is logged in to their Leap Conventions profile, they will see their Share Rewards profile in the upper right-hand dropdown. Once selected, this will load in the user's unique profile with their associated account activity.

 

  • Members can also use the program dropdown to navigate to their profile with other events
  • This page will display their unique Share Rewards link, their points total, clicks/conversions/conversion rate, transaction history, and the ability to open the Share Rewards Store to use their points towards event-specific products.
  • Members can also specify whether or not they receive Email Notifications for their Points Activity.
    • By default, this will be enabled, but a member can go in and disable this at any time.

Share Rewards Store Configuration

Convention products (both admission and non-admission) can be configured to be purchasable with Share Reward points. This is found in the individual Product Setup > Advanced Features tab.

These products appear in the customer's share rewards store.

Changing The Name "Share Rewards"

You can update the "Share Rewards" terminology in manager options "Share Rewards" Term Override. This affects the navigation text when logged into Leap Conventions.

Communication

Welcome Email

Upon enrollment in the event-specific Share Rewards program, members will now receive an email indicating that we've received their enrollment. This email will also provide them with their individual link and high-level instructions on the program.

This email will be sent one-time upon sign-up and will only apply to new member sign-ups.

Points Activity

Email Blasts

Event organizers can streamline communication with reward account holders by utilizing the Marketing > Email Blasts feature. This function allows for the scheduling of emails specifically aimed at Share Rewards Account Members, enabling a more efficient and targeted outreach strategy.

Share Rewards vs Affiliates

Here are the differences between Conventions Share Rewards, and Affiliate programs:

  • Share Rewards Program: Customers can earn points by sharing a unique URL and generating sales.
  • Affiliate Program: Third-party individuals or organizations can earn a percentage of revenue generated through their unique affiliate code.
  • Affiliate Code Customization: Affiliates can choose their affiliate code, but clients cannot customize it through the admin side.

Are points earned on the base price of the product sold (does not include taxes/service fees/shipping)?

Points are earned on the base price.

Are points earned on all purchases (admission and non-admission products)?

Points are earned on all purchases regardless of admission/non-admission.

If a product is refunded/a chargeback is issued, are the points deducted from the account?

Points are not deducted.
