Volunteer Types

Volunteer Types represent what the volunteer will be doing at the event. Examples may include: Customer Service, Access Control, Media Team, Celebrity Handler, etc.

Volunteer Type functionality is closely connected to Volunteer Shifts, Volunteer Ranks, and Volunteer Areas

To configure Volunteer Types, navigate to Volunteer Manager > Volunteer Setup > Volunteer Types.

Creating Volunteer Types

  1. Enter a type name
  2. Select if this type should be hidden from the application (Yes/No)
  3. Select Create Volunteer Type

Volunteer Type Dashboard

The dashboard will display all volunteer types and other helpful information. 

  • Hidden From Application - Hide this volunteer type from appearing in the volunteer application form
  • Assigned Volunteers - How many volunteers in each specific type
  • Applicants Requesting - How many people have requested that specific type of volunteer

Actions

Volunteer - Select to display a table of all volunteers specifically assigned to that type. The table displays

  • Status
  • Name    
  • Phone    
  • Email    
  • Shift Count    
  • Actions (Checkin/View/Delete)

Applicants - Select to display a table of all applicants who have selected this type. The table displays

  • Status
  • Name    
  • Phone    
  • Email    
  • Shift Count    
  • Actions (View/Delete)

Edit -  Edit the type name and hidden from application state (Yes/No)

Delete - Deletes the volunteer type
