Payout Manager can be accessed through the button presented in the Payout Utility.

This loads the Payout Index Page, where all of the People that have Celebrity Manager checked in the Details utility will appear. At the top of the page are a number of reports and export shortcuts, including a dashboard for an integration with Epic for Conventions that use their services at their event.

Managing Payouts

The Index of People shows various relevant information and has an Actions dropdown. Actions that can be taken are presented in the order in which they should and are likely to be used, and they are:

Products: This is where any Product sold through Leap Conventions can be assigned to this person, and then the revenue associated with the Product sale can be split between the Event, the Celebrity, a third party (such as the Photo Op company), and even the Celebrity Agent (though usually it is the responsibility of the Celebrity themselves to pay their Agent).

To associate a product with a person, select the Product from the dropdown at the top of the page, and click Submit. This associates the Product with that person and brings the User to a page to determine the tracking type, what to track, and split of tracked revenue.

Incomes: This is where an income the Celebrity brings in, outside of Conventions sales, can be tracked. This is often used for autograph table cash. You can have a different method for this but a common approach is a Celebrity liasion collecting cash and marking a tick sheet to be brought to a cash office at the end of their shift, or event day, and then that income is marked here and is measured against their guarantee later.

Payouts: This is where you can keep track of any money already dispersed to a person prior to the end of show payouts.

Signatures: This is where you can collect a signature for the previous payouts made.

Report: This is the culmination of all the work that has been done previously and presents a clean, organized record of all incomes and payouts, measured against guarantee, and dictates whether, and how much, a celebrity is owed. This report can, and should, be printed to give to the celebrity agent along with their check or cash. Notably tracking type can be overriden on this page if autographs or photo ops were sold both through Conventions and an external system to achieve accurate numbers.
