Tips for Scanning
The following tips will ensure a great scanning experience:
- Ensure there is plenty of light
- Turn on the scanner, then bring the QR code into view
- Distance should be about 3 - 5 inches
- Shake to force the camera to focus
- Wait for the autofocus to adjust before presenting the QR code, or the camera will close
- Hold still while the barcode is scanned
- If using Wi-Fi, ensure the network access point is near your device
Scanning a Single Ticket
The attendees can present a QR code from their confirmation email, page, or physical ticket.
- Tap Scan Single Ticket to initialize the camera on the iPad
- Scan the QR code
- The product (ticket) will then load
- Tap the Empty Circle on the ticket on the screen to check in and tap all that apply. The ticket has been checked in, and you can exchange a credential.
Scanning Multiple Tickets
- Tap Scan Multiple Tickets to initialize the camera on the iPad
- Once the camera is activated, hold the iPad over multiple QR codes
- A number will appear in the background and top right, keeping a running total of scanned QR codes
- The iPad will keep track of all the QR’s scanned, so you don’t have to
- Tap Done. The products (tickets) will then load
- Tap the Empty Circle on the ticket on the screen to check in and tap all that apply. The ticket has been checked in, and you can exchange a credential.
Name Lookup
- Tap Last Name / Email Lookup
- Enter the Last Name or Email that was used during the original transaction into the field
- Tap Go. The products will load onto the screen
- Tap the correct order to load the product, confirm the name with the guest
- Product type (ticket) will then load and be displayed with a status of either “not redeemed,” indicated by an empty circle, or “redeemed,” indicated by a circle with a check mark inside it
- Tap the Empty Circle on the product to check in so there is a checkmark; tap all that apply. Take your time and ensure you select the product
associated with the correct customer. They are now checked in.
