ApplePay & Google Pay with Stripe

Important

Apple Pay and Google Pay can only be used on Stripe accounts.

Support for Apple Pay and Google Pay is available via the Leap Merchant Services Conventions Stripe account. This integrates Apple Pay and Google Pay into the checkout process such that the Apple Pay and Google Pay options appear as a payment method to be selected. Upon clicking the button, the buyer should be presented with the usual Apple Pay flow.

*Apple Pay only works in the Safari browser.

Enablement

For organizers using Leap Merchant Services with Stripe Connect (Custom or Standard), Apple Pay and Google Pay are automatically turned on when your Stripe account is added.

For Non-Connect Stripe Accounts

Please connect with our support team if you are interested in enabling Apple or Google Pay.

On your side, you must enable Apple/Google Pay on your Stripe dashboard:

  1. Select Settings (gear icon)
  2. Choose Payments
  3. Select Payment Methods (tab).

Once everything is configured, you can enable these payment options by navigating to Manager Options and toggling them on as needed.

Reporting

In 'Orders', we store the last 4 of the credit card field as 'google_pay' or ‘apple_pay’.

Troubleshooting

Some important visibility stipulations should be noted:
